Docfense issues a tag for a document you register and passes a message from whoever scans that tag to you. We are a way to be reached. We do not recover documents ourselves and we cannot promise that a lost document is found or returned.

Register only documents that belong to you. Enter the document number accurately, because a tag bound to a wrong number cannot be corrected by us without proof. Keep your phone number current, since a text message is how you are alerted. Keep your sign in details private.

One payment per document, taken at checkout, with no subscription and no renewal charge. A tag serial is issued after the payment settles, and the receipt is available in your billing history. Prices are set in US dollars and the shilling amount is shown before you confirm.

If a payment settles but no tag is issued, we refund it in full. Once the print ready artwork has been downloaded, the tag has been delivered and the payment is not refundable. Refund questions go to support@docfense.com.

Do not scan tags you did not find, submit false finder reports, attempt to guess document numbers, or use the service to harass an owner. We suspend tags and accounts used this way.

We work to keep the scan page reachable at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service and we are not liable for a loss that follows from a document going missing.

How we handle your information is set out in the privacy notice. Payment records are kept for seven years even after an account is closed, because the law requires it.

You can request closure from your settings at any time. We erase your account and document data, retire your tags so they can no longer be scanned, and keep only the financial records described above.

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. If we change them, we post the new version here and tell account holders by email before it takes effect.
